Swiss food giant Nestlé is to invest around €5m (US$5.9m) to move production of its Choco Crossies confectionery brand from Berlin to Hamburg.

The plant in Berlin currently produces Choco Crossies Chips and Choco Crossies Wafers, while the Hamburg factory produces the brand’s other variety, Choco Crossies Classic.

The Hamburg factory will be upgraded as part of the company’s plan to transfer production enabling the eventual closure of the Berlin plant, reported the German News Digest.
