While concerns proliferate about child slave labour practices within West Africa’s cocoa industry, UK confectionery giant Cadbury Schweppes has launched a review of its supply chain.

The company sources the majority of its cocoa from Ghana, which is not generally regarded as having the same labour exploitations as the Ivory Coast, but is now working with the Corporate Citizenship Company (CCC) in a bid to audit parts of its supply chain. CCC is a consultancy company that specialises in ethical matters.
