Glanbia Nutritionals, a US-based division of Irish food group Glanbia, has developed an ingredient that promotes fat loss while maintaining lean body mass.

The dairy-derived ingredient, called Prolibra Whey Mineral Protein, can be formulated into a variety of weight management products, including supplements, powdered beverage mixes, ready-to-drink beverages, bars and snacks, the company said.
Glanbia Nutritionals said Prolibra, which is patent-pending, is clinically proven to accelerate fat loss – inducing weight loss from fat, without sacrificing lean body mass. Another benefit of the active whey components in Prolibra is increased satiety, helping people feel full for longer.
