Israeli food retailer Blue Square-Israel has announced that Emanuel Avner has been appointed vice president and chief financial officer of Blue Square, effective 2 November.

Avner was previously employed as chief financial officer of Ericsson Israel. Before he took up that position in 1999, he served as corporate controller and deputy CFO of Supersol.


Blue Square also announced the appointment of Michael (Miki) Lev as vice president and chief operation officer, effective 2 November. Lev previously served as head of the human resources division of Blue Square.
