Israeli food company G Willi-Food International has said it expects to report revenue growth of more than 25% in the first quarter of 2006 compared to last year’s period.


“2006 is off to a strong start and we have achieved significant revenue growth over the prior year to date,” said the company’s president and chief operating officer Zvi Williger. “Our strategy is working and we look forward to the rest of the year.”


The company will publish its first-quarter results in mid-May, having recently reported gross revenues for the year to 31 December 2006 of NIS166.3m (US$36.1m), down from NIS 171.0m in 2004. Net income fell to NIS7.7m from NIS11.2m.
