Osem-Nestlé Israel will invest US$50m to build a new logistic centre, to replace its current warehouse distribution network.
According to Osem-Nestlé Israel CEO Dan Propper, the logistics centre will be built on a 25 acre plot in the country’s central region adjacent to the Cross-Israel Highway, now under construction. A report in Globes notes that the construction of Osem-Nestlé new logistics centre is scheduled to start in 2003 and to be completed in 2005.
The report adds that the new centre will serve the entire Osem-Nestlé group of companies, including Tivall, Tzabar Salads, Off-Tov Poultry Products, Hod-Lavan Turkey Products, and Beit Hashita-Assis Food Industries, and will replace the food company’s current warehouses, most of which are rented.
