Conserve Italia, the food processing consortium, intends to increase its share of the market. Maurizio Gardidi, company president, revealed the company’s plans at a congress in Bologna organised by non-profit organisation Compagnia delle Opere (CdO) in collaboration with Italian banking group UniCredit, ANSA has reported.

At the conference, Gardidi said that one possibility, though not the principle one, was the listing of canned tomato producer Cirio De Rica. Any such move would require the approval of the other investors who purchased Cirio with CdO in 2004.
