Fastfood chain McDonald’s Japan has said its president and chief operating officer, Yasuyuki Yagi, has left the company.

The company said it had not yet decided on a successor; chief executive Eiko Harada will assume Yagi’s role for the time being, reported the Japan Times Online.


Yagi, who will act as an outside adviser to the company for a year, joined McDonald’s Japan in 1974 and became president in March 2002.
