Japanese meat processor, Prima Meat Packers, has said it will have an external body check all its ingredients labels after one of its products was found to contain an ingredient that could cause allergic reactions that was not listed on the label

Prima Meat will also increase the number of staff that carry out regular checks on companies that make products on its behalf.

Japanese supermarket chain AEON said Prima Meat used the ingredient in asparagus and bacon rolls without indicating it on the label. Aeon also said it has suspended its business with Prima Meat, reported Jiji Press.
