Cereal giant Kellog’s is updating its Raisin Bran range with the introduction of a granola variety.

Made with crisp bran flakes and granola oat clusters combined with raisins and honey, Raisin Bran Granola comes in two flavours – Raisin and Honey Granola and Cranberry Almond Granola.

The cereal is low fat, and claims to be an “excellent source” of fibre.

“We listened to our biggest fans to create the perfect granola blends they were yearning for in a breakfast option that doesn’t compromise the delicious Raisin Bran taste,” said Jeremy Harper, senior marketing director for Kellogg‘s morning foods. “That’s why we worked hard to keep the cereal staple at the forefront of the granola – the crisp bran flakes and sweet raisins are what we’re known for.”

Kellogg’s Raisin Bran Granola joins the lineup of four Kellogg’s Raisin Bran cereals which include Raisin Bran Original, Raisin Bran Crunch, Raisin Bran Omega-3 from Flaxseed and Raisin Bran with Cranberries.

Available now in grocery stores, Raisin Bran Granola has a RRP of US$3.99.

Last year Kellog’s, which producers more than 1,600 foods, brought in annual sales of $13.5bn.
