Wal-Mart Stores’ Mexican operation is set to expand by 125 new stores and restaurants during 2007, according to the unit’s CEO.


Wal-Mart de Mexico chief executive Eduardo Solorzano told the Associated Press that the company plans to increase its floor space by 12% through the store openings. Walmex opened 120 units in 2006, and has 893 establishments in the country thus far, according to AP.
