US pancake mix manufacturer Nate’s Food Co. is upping its capacity in advance of an expected jump in orders as the group increases the number of flavours it offers.

The company manufactures Batter Blaster which, it claimed, is the fifth-largest brand in the pancake mix category in the US. “By adding flavours, Batter Blaster could have nearly tripled its total points of distribution,” the company suggested.

While Nate’s is “finalising the deal points” with brokers, it has invested in increasing its production capacity ahead of an expected jump in demand. Nate’s is doubling its capacity from 10-12m cans a year to 24m, the company revealed, which it added could potentially provide additional annual revenues of US$75m a year.
