Nestle is expanding in the Indian cereal market with the launch of Nestle Ceregrow, a multi-grain cereal targeting children. 

Nestle Ceregrow is a product aimed at children aged between two- and five-years-old. “The product aims to provide balanced nutrition as it comprises of age appropriate vitamins and minerals,” a spokesperson for the company told just-food. “The product is also fortified with iron.”

Nestle Ceregrow is being marketed in around 15 cities across throughout India. Nestle ultimately aims to “scale up further” and extend distribution, the spokesperson revealed. “It is available in independent supermarkets, large groceries as well as chemist stores,” the spokesperson added. 

Nestle, whose sales in India were hit last year by the controversial recall of Maggi noodles, has been growing in the market in rceent months thanks to a return of the Maggi brand and a focus on innovation. Earlier this month, the company extended its re-launched Maggi portfolio with the addition of new flavours, while in April the company entered the Greek yoghurt sector in the country with the launch of products under the A+ Grekyo brand.
