Leading Dutch dairy group Campina, said it will acquire Quality Brands International in Greece for an undisclosed sum.

The acquisition will enable Campina to establish its own operation in the Greek dairy market. Campina will than realise a turnover of about €40m (US$49.2m) in Greece. The Dutch company hopes to further expand its position in Greece following the acquisition.

Campina has a long-standing relationship with Quality Brands International (QBI); in the past years all Campina sales in Greece were conducted through QBI

Greece is particularly important to Campina as a market for cheese. A growing share of these cheese revenues is realised by the Milner brand. Sales of Milner products have advanced strongly in recent years and this success is expected to continue in the coming years.
