Dutch cheese production decreased by 3% year-on-year to 653,000 tons in 2005, reported the Dutch News Digest.


Cheese exports also dropped, from 472,000 tons in 2004, to 435,000 tons in 2005.


Local industry association ZB announced the results, and revealed that the average cheese production in European Union (EU) member countries increased by 1.2%, with exports showing a sharp decrease.
