Anglo-Dutch consumer goods giant Unilever is reportedly carrying out a review of its frozen foods division that could lead to the sell-off of brands such as Birds Eye or Carte d’Or.

According to the UK’s Sunday Times, Unilever is believed to have asked investment firm Goldman Sachs to investigate options for its frozen foods division that could include disposing of some or all brands, or keeping the entire business as it is.

The frozen foods unit has been struggling of late, partly due to the growth in popularity of chilled convenience foods and other consumer trends.
