Anglo-Dutch consumer goods giant Unilever has decided to undertake a study into strategic options for the future of its frozen foods business in Western Europe.

The study will encompass its main brands – Iglo, Findus and BirdsEye – and will cover the 11 Western European countries where Unilever is active in this category, the company said in a statement.

The frozen foods business has created considerable value for shareholders for a number of years, it said. It has now been decided to investigate how best to maintain this into the future.
