Dutch bakery and ingredients group CSM has sold a unit in the US to Japan-based Fuso Chemical.


CSM has offloaded its gluconic acid business – described as “small-scale” by the company – for around US$2.5m. Sales from the unit reached $5.7m, CSM said.


CSM is a producer of bakery products and food ingredients with annual turnover of EUR2.4bn (US$3.3bn).
