Dutch food maker Wessanen has lined up childcare executive Ronald Merckx as its CFO.
Wessanen said today (3 March) that its supervisory board had put forward Merckx, European CFO for child-safety products firm Britax Childcare, to become its finance chief.
Wessanen's shareholders will vote on Merckx's appointment at the company's AGM in April. Should Merckx win shareholder backing, he will become Wessanen's CFO on 1 June.
In December, Wessanen said CFO Frans Eelkman Rooda would step down from his role this year and leave the business by the end of May.
Eelkman Rooda's departure was announced after "mutual consultation" between the executive and the Wessanen board.
