New Zealand health minister Annette King has revealed that the country won a battle with neighbouring Australia yesterday to place three representatives on the Australia-New Zealand Food Authority (ANZFA) board instead of two, as Australia had suggested.

ANZFA is charged with monitoring food standards in both countries, and the board currently consists of eight members, two of which are from New Zealand.

According to The Dominion newspaper, the revised board will have 12 members, and will be renamed Food Standards Australia New Zealand.
