Norwegian seafood group Lerøy Seafood has bought a majority stake in Finnish peer Jokisen Eväät.

Lerøy Seafood said the acquisition of a 51% stake in the Finnish firm was part of its strategy to grow in the Nordic region. The deal was struck for an undisclosed sum.

“Jokisen Eväät enjoys a strong position in the sale and distribution of seafood in its home market and will thus contribute to strengthening LSG’s position in the Finnish market,” Lerøy Seafood said on Tuesday (4 January).
