According to a survey conducted by Finansavisen, NorgesGruppen ASA is the fastest expanding Norwegian retailer in terms of new store openings, having opened 68 outlets in the last 12-months.


NorgesGruppen’s retail chain Kiwi expanded its network with the addition of 30 new stores, while the group’s rival, Ica Norge, closed 29 outlets in the same period. The Rema 1000 and Lidl chains opened 12 new outlets each, while Coop Norge had three new stores.


NorgesGruppen currently operates the Meny, Kiwi, Joker, Spar and Ultra retail chains, alongside the kiosk chain MIX.
