Norwegian food group Rieber & Søn has named the successor to veteran CFO Tor Lund.

The company said today (2 June) that Fredrik Witte, the finance director of recycling group Tomra’s operations in North America, would replace Lund, who is retiring from the business.

Lund has been at Rieber & Søn since 1969 and was appointed CFO in 1994. The group said Witte would be in place around 1 September but revealed it was “not yet clear” when he would formally take the role.

In April, Rieber & Søn reported improved first-quarter earnings on the back of higher sales and tight cost control.

The group, which makes a range of food products and operates in seven countries, saw first-quarter operating profit jump 29% to NOK95m (US$15.3m).
