PepsiCo veteran Geoff Painter has joined Pladis, the snacks supplier that is home to brands including McVitie’s, in a new senior insights role created by the UK-based business.
Painter, who spent more than two decades at PepsiCo, has been named chief insights officer at Pladis, which said the appointment would “strengthen” the company’s “growth capabilities”.
Most recently at PepsiCo, Painter has spent seven years as head of insights and analytics for the Lay’s owner’s business in Asia Pacific. At Pladis, Painter will be “accountable for leveraging the talent, skills and technology needed to pinpoint growth opportunities and turn insights into market-leading initiatives”, the company said in a statement.
Pladis CEO Salman Amin, who joined the Carr’s cracker maker last year and who himself is a PepsiCo alumnus, said Painter “brings a rare combination of functional and commercial expertise honed through diverse international market and cultural exposure, including in both developed and emerging markets”.
As well as the appointments of Amin and Painter, Pladis has also hired a new CFO in the last year. In July, Pladis appointed former Unilever man Sridhar Ramamurthy as CFO.
