Podravka has named Marin Pucar, a former executive at the Croatia-based food group, to the role of president of its management board.

Pucar replaces Zvonimir Mršic, whose term in the job expired.

Podravka said Pucar re-joins after four years at Croatian confectioner Zvecevo, where he was most recently president of the company’s board. Pucar joined Zvecevo in 2012 after 11 years at Podravka.

The company also announced the appointment of a new member to its management board. Ljiljana Šapina, most recently the head of Podravka’s import-export logistics, has spent more than 30 years working for the company.

Two other executives sit on Podravka’s management board – Hrvoje Kolaric, the president of Podravka’s pharmaceutical arm Belupo, and Iva Brajevic, the company’s director of controlling.

Last month, Podravka revealed an aim to “double” its revenue by 2021 as it booked higher sales and earnings for 2016.

February also saw Podravka open a factory in Tanzania, its first plant in Africa.
