Swiss food giant Nestlé is planning to open a series of branded coffee bars in the fledging Polish market, according to local newspaper Puls Biznesu.
The pilot project will see a total of three bars opened and run by franchisees, but it is as yet unclear what plans the company has in place for potential future development.
The possibilities of the market are attracting other companies as well as Nestlé, and BSP, Tribeca and Stoney Point Java have all expressed interest in expanding their operations.
German-owned Tchibo, the market leader in Poland, currently controls just six outlets but has recently announced plans to open a further 25 over the next two years.
