Following the decision of the Supreme Court to outlaw fees taken by retailers to stock products, Polish poultry producers have decided to take matters a step further.

Representatives of poultry producers from the Chamber of Commerce are preparing a collective suit aimed at withdrawing from all contracts that include payments other than the standard margin, the Polish News Bulletin reported today (4 April).

Producers have been asked to collect documentation on fees from up to five years ago. “If the court admits we are right, each company will be able to demand their money back from retail chains,” Leszek Kawski, director general of the National Poultry Council of the Chamber of Commerce, told the paper.
