Portugal’s second-largest retailer Jeronimo Martins has said that its preliminary figures show a turnover of €3.9bn (US$4.1bn) for 2002, up 2.3% from the previous year.

While the company’s retail sector sales increased, its manufacturing and service units posted a slight slowdown.

Jeronimo Martins did not give an estimate of the company’s net income for 2002, reported Reuters.
