Russian meat processor Cherkizovo Group saw its net profit more than doubled in 2007, rising to US$61.6m from around $30m in 2006.
The group’s consolidated revenue increased 33% on the year to $840.8m in 2007, the company reported.
EBITDA rose 56% on the year to $115.3m in 2007, while gross profit increased 51% to $223.8m.
Cherkizovo Group is one of the largest meat processors in Russia and comprises eight meat processing plants, two bird farms, four pig farms, a poultry processing plant, a feed-meal plant and two trading houses with branches in 12 Russian cities.
