Russian grocery chain Dixy has recorded an increase in full-year sales, boosted by its acquisition of smaller rival Victoria last year.
For the 12 months to the end of December, sales climbed by 59.1% to RUB102.2bn (US$3.36bn). The figure included the results of Victoria Group, which it acquired on 15 June, the retailer said today (31 January).
Full-year like-for-like sales were up by 6.3% last year, while fourth quarter like-for-like sales increased by 4.5%.
In the 12-month period, Dixy opened 255 new stores. This included 233 openings by Dixy Group and 22 openings by Victoria Group.
