Kraft Foods intends to open a manufacturing facility for its recently-acquired biscuit and pastry business in Russia.
Production of OJSC Bolshevik products will be transferred to a new plant in the town of Sobinka, east of Moscow.
The company’s current production facility, located in the Russian capital, will close next year, the company confirmed to just-food today (11 June).
Kraft Foods Russia said RUB1bn (US$42.4m) will be invested in the new site.
Kraft acquired a 76.42% stake in OJSC Bolshevik when it took control of Danone’s global biscuit operations last year.
