“Certain violations of legislation on labour and on labour safety,” have been uncovered in the Russian subsidiary of US fastfood giant McDonald’s, according to a report by the Federal Labour Inspectorate. It is now facing a fine between 2,000 to 10,000 rubles.

Nevertheless, the State Duma commission for the resolution of labour disputes concluded that McDonalds was satisfactory in its following of labour laws, and in terms of its trade and catering peers, it “compared with the absolute majority.”
