Simplot is expanding the John West tuna brand in Australia with the launch of a tuna pasta salad range.
The line, which is hitting shelves in Australia this month, consists of three varieties: Mexican Salsa, Italian Style and Balsamic Dressing.
The company said it is targeting on-the-go consumption with its ready-to-eat single serve containers.
“We understand that it can be hard to find time to prepare nutritious meals when you’re working or busy with family commitments, so we’re taking the hassle out of the process. The new Tuna Pasta Salads are both delicious and convenient without compromising nutritional value,” Katie Saunders, GM of shelf grocery, commented.
Each 190g serving contains less than 1000kj and is a “good source” of Omega 3, Simplot stressed.
With an RRP of A$3.99 (US$3.50) the range will be available at Woolworths Ltd, Coles and independent retailers.
