Slovenia-based nutraceuticals firm Vitiva has signed a licensing deal for the Russian market.

Vitiva said Elite Food Ingredients would market its rosemary line in Russia. The company said it expects to grow sales in Russia’s emerging meat-processing market.

“Our joint venture partner has a strong, proven record in sales and distribution of food ingredients,” said Vitiva CEO Ohad Cohen.

”This joint venture opens a range of new opportunities for reaching Russian consumers. We’ve developed an ambitious business plan aimed at strong growth in Russia in key categories.”

Alexander Morev, joint CEO at Elite Food Ingredients, added: “Our collaboration with Vitiva allows us to offer an innovative line of natural extracts with antioxidant properties for meat and poultry, seasoning and snacks to the Russian market.”
