Dairy giant Arla Foods has added a product to its Castello cheese range in Spain.

Arla said it trialled Castello Black in Carrefour in Spain during the summer and is distributing it to the rest of the retail market. The launch process is expected to last until the end of Christmas period.

“Arla Spain is looking to add value to the shelves through innovation and premium products, beside its important business in other categories,” a spokesperson for Arla said. “We hope we will reach national coverage by February,” he added. 

Castello Black is now also available at retailers including Eroski, Caprabo and Consum for EUR2.79 (US$3.85) per unit.
