Nestle, the world’s largest food maker, has opened another chilling centre for its dairy business in Sri Lanka.

The Swiss food giant said today (8 September) said the site in Kilinochchi in northern Sir Lanka would add to a network of over 100 chilling centres in the country.

Nestle Lanka chairman Antonio Helio Waszyk said: “Our 107th chilling centre is the first in the Kilinochchi area and we hope it will accelerate economic development and prosperity for the people in this region.”

The company declined to reveal how much it had invested in the chilling centre but said it would open another eight sites this year.
