Swiss multinational Nestlé believes its long-term growth drivers will continue to fuel its expansion in Asia. Speaking to journalists at the World Economic Forum in Davos, Switzerland, Michael W. Garrett, head of the Swiss food giant’s operations in Asia and Africa, said the booming water division was also expected to prosper.

Garrett did not mention Nestlé’s recent alliance with Snow Brand, the Japanese dairy group hit by a poisoning crisis last summer, but such partnerships are a key way to gaining market share in Asia, and he did indicate that further alliances and the acquisition of additional brands were on the cards.
