Nestlé is set to report robust first-quarter sales figures on Thursday with the group’s new chief financial officer, Wolfgang Reichenberger making his first public appearance.

Analysts say that Nestlé will announce Q1 sales at around CHF19bn and sales volume growth of 4% or more. Sales forecasts range between CHF18.9bn and CHF19.53bn, compared with CHF18.5bn a year ago.


Reichenberger succeeded long-serving Mario Corti, who left the company this spring to become chief executive of aviation company SairGroup. Reichenberger, aged 47 has been at Nestlé for 24 years and has previously headed Nestlé operations in New Zealand and Japan.
