Asda has recalled some if its own-brand Frozen 4 Breaded 100% Haddock Fillets.

The recall was a result of the battered haddock fillets being packed in breaded haddock fillets packaging.

The battered haddock fillets contain milk that is not mentioned on the breaded haddock fillets label, making the product a possible health risk for people who are allergic to or intolerant of milk or milk constituents.

The Food Standards Agency issued an alert yesterday (5 November) on the haddock product, which has best before dates of 19, 20, 21, 24 and 25 September 2009, and 4, 5, 8, 10 and 17 October 2009.

The products have a barcode: 05051413368145
