UK Fairtrade specialist Divine Chocolate is to be re-listed at The Co-operative Group’s stores.

Divine has secured listings for its 70% Dark Chocolate with Ginger & Orange and its 70% Dark Chocolate with Raspberries bars. They will go on sale across 800 stores nationwide from 22 April. The variants are two of the firm’s most popular flavours, it said.

Divine has a long history of working closely with The Co-op. It supplyed all the retailer’s Fairtrade chocolate from 2002 when The Co-op was first to change a whole category to Fairtrade. However, it lost its contract with the retailer two years ago to supply its standard range.

“We are delighted to once again be supplying Divine 100g bars to The Co-operative,” said Divine’s commercial director David Francis. “We value our long relationship with The Co-op and their interest and involvement with, and support of the co-operative that owns 45% of our business.”
