Delivered pizza company  Domino’s Pizza has announced a rise in pretax profit to £5.5m (US$9.6m) in the first half ended 3 July 2005 from $4.1m in the same period a year ago.


System sales rose to £97.1m from £81.5m.

weeks of 2005, with record store openings and robust like-for-like sales growth,” said  chief executive Stephen Hemsley. “As our market share continues to grow within this expanding sector, we look forward to opening a total of between 800 and 1,000 Domino’s Pizza stores in the UK and Ireland, which should enable us to continue to deliver exceptional growth to shareholders.”
