Dr Oetker has expanded its Onken natural yoghurt range with the launch of a new line.

Natural Smooth is made with wholemilk and live bio cultures and is being positioned as a “breakfast ingredient”, the company said today (10 December).

Through the launch, Onken is hoping to bolster its natural yogurt sales by appealing to the growing number of consumers who eat natural yogurt as a “healthy” breakfast.

“With 41% of natural yogurt usage taking place in the morning, we are confident that this will become a popular addition to the Onken range,” said Rachel Oakley, senior brand manager for Dr Oetker.

The launch of Natural Smooth will be supported with a GBP500,000 (US$742,317) advertising campaign which will use double page spread adverts.
