UK food technology company Williams Refrigeration has released a new ‘intelligent’ controller system onto the market, which, it claims, can deliver energy savings of between 10% and 15%.

The controller detects changing situations and alters the way the refrigeration system is operating to ensure that food is kept safe and energy use is kept down to a minimum.

“A controller that automatically adapts to the refrigeration situation can achieve maximum system efficiency, and therefore lower energy consumption. This gives extra cost savings without affecting performance,” the company said.
