John West tuna owner, MW Brands, has appointed Kellogg executive Elisabeth Fleuriot as its CEO.

Fleuriot, who was senior VP of emerging markets for Kellogg, will take up the role on 26 August. She succeeds Adolfo Valsecchi, who announced his intention to retire on 21 June. He will step down at the end of July.

Fleuriot will bring over 35 years of experience in multinational companies to MW Brands, having also held positions with Danone and Yoplait. She is a non-executive board member of Carlsberg and Finnish paper manufacturer Stora Enso.
