US-based cereal giant Kellogg’s is to launch new style packaging for its popular Corn Flakes cereal in a bid to stop its product from going stale.
The new box will remain in its familiar rectangular form until it has been opened, thereby allowing it to be stacked easily in supermarkets, reported the Daily Mail.
Once opened, the top can be folded and resealed to form a triangular shape in order to maintain freshness.
The new design, which is costing the company £8m (US$14.6m) to introduce, will be backed by a marketing campaign including TV advertising and in-store promotions, the newspaper said.
