Kraft Foods has appointed the former chief marketing officer for Kerry Foods as head of its Central and Eastern Europe chocolate division.

Phil Chapman, who held the CMO role at Kerry Foods for around three years overseeing brands including Wall’s, has also worked in a marketing capacity for consumer goods giant Unilever.

A spokesperson for Kraft told just-food today (16 May) the newly-created role will be based in Vienna in Austria. Chapman took up the role at the beginning of the month.

The announcement comes less than a month after Kraft revealed that Daryl Fielding would be leaving her role as vice president, marketing, after just over two years in the job.

Chrystel Barranger was appointed to the new role of vice president for snacking and marketing services.
