Food safety is the predominant concern of the global food and beverage industry, according to a report released this month by Leatherhead Food . The other four most important issues that came to the top in Leatherhead’s survey included retailer power; ethics; innovation, and regulation. Other issues thrown up by the survey include shelf-life extension technology and real-time microbiological testing.
