The Mattessons brand of pre-packed cooked meat products is set for a major relaunch in the UK in 2006.

The company has announced that it will be running a TV campaign for the first time in 20 years, with a GBP7m marketing spend planned for the brand which includes Fridge Raiders, Sliced Cooked Meats, Smoked Pork Sausage and Turkey Rashers in its product range.

The TV ads will have the tag-line ‘Bring out your carnivorous side’ and reflect the brand’s “personality as fun and daring”, the company said. Public relations, sampling programmes and press advertising are also planned for the brand.
