A UK company has developed envelope-sized wallets which will turn any sandwich into a toasted sandwich using just a standard toaster.

Toastabags, the brain-child of company founder Guy Unwin, are designed using the same Teflon-coated material that rocket scientists use in the NASA space programme. “Outer space is all about extreme temperatures, so it made sense to adapt the technology for Toastabags,” Unwin said.

Bought-in or home-made sandwiches of virtually any type or recipe can be slipped into the bag, put in the toaster and in around three minutes a toasted sandwich is made.

As ‘food on the move’ increases in popularity, and convenience is of the utmost importance, Toastabags are positioned at those with hectic lives and little time for cooking.
