UK supermarkets could start selling cars after new EU rules were introduced meaning that vehicles and servicing for them can be sourced from companies outside manufacturers’ franchises.
Wholesaler Makro has already struck up a joint venture with Motor Solutions, and believes supermarkets like Tesco will follow suit.
Tesco admits it is seriously looking into the idea of car sales, while Asda is not ruling out the possibility, reported The Grocer.
